Carlotta is a beautiful panne knitted velvet from John Kaldor. It comes in a variety of colours and this is the one to make your little black dress from.
It has a lovely weight and will make separates, dresses and even a jumpsuit. It has a nice amount of stretch in the width due to the elastane, very little in the length, making it a great fabric to sew and fit.
